Biomedical Sciences 2

  • I chose to study biomedical science at UCL because not only was I attracted by the strength and reputation of the department but the fact that the course covers a range of disciplines meant that I could take it in any direction I liked.  The first year like any was cramp packed with new but very fascinating information, throughout which I discovered how the various topics in science interact and overlap allowing for my studies to have both breadth and depth.  Having come from an Islamic school, the transition from school to university was daunting, however joining the UCL ISoc helped to ease my fears, as it gave me the opportunity to meet many welcoming sisters from a variety of backgrounds as well as having an Islamic sisters community which proved to be extremely helpful in both my studies, social life and ultimately I felt I belonged.
