Everybody believes in God – AbdelRahman Murphy – Discover Islam at UCL

  • Everyone believes in God’ may sound like an absurd statement – with 2.4% of the world identifying themselves as atheist – with 39% of the UK claiming disbelief in God.

But if we delve deeper into the topic, do human beings truly believe themselves to only be a a bunch of extremely complex chemical, physical and biological processes – with no driving force, no creator, no deity and no God?

Or does everyone believe in God, regardless of what they say? Where do morals come from, why do even the most ‘devout’ of atheists say ‘thank God’, and why do we all pray, have hope, have faith etc? Is love, art, beauty or morality intrinsically significant?

Join us with world-renowned speaker AbdelRahman Murphy as he explores and discusses the statement, and discover Islam and belief in God at UCL :)
